Rutger Groot Wassink, Amsterdams wethouder van ‘Vluchtelingen en Ongedocumenteerden’, is van plan rechtszaken aan te spannen tegen vluchtelingen van We Are Still Here om hen te ontruimen uit de ‘Landelijke Vreemdelingen Voorziening’ (LVV) in Amsterdam. Voor de duidelijkheid: deze LVV heet officieel ‘opvang’ maar is niets anders dan een drukmiddel. Tijdens zijn toespraak voor aanvang van de demonstratie vertelde Sami:
“Look at how they create this project which is totally against what we agreed before we signed. (…) They say, you gonna go out after one or two months and a few of my friends they kicked out. They are on the street. Same shit again. They are helping? With what? (…) They give you so many different appointments with so many different organisations. If you miss one of them they come to you and they tell you: ‘you are not cooperating with us’. So you have to go out of the shelter, they use the shelter as a warning, as a threat.”
